Winter Makeup Tutorial: Blue Frost!

Hey beauties! I recently stopped by Mac to check out their Winter and Ice collection and I fell in love! All of there eye shadows from the collection are so beautiful! Sadly I couldn't buy it all so I decided to choose the shadow frozen blue. It's a silver sparkly color with a blue hue.

I based an eye tutorial around this color and also added a natural blush color with a berry colored lip to finish off the look! I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and let me know if you try it out!

Hunger Games Nail Polish?!?

Hey beauties! Today I have some exciting news for those of you who are nail polish and Hunger Games Lovers! 

China Glaze will be releasing nail polish inspired by the book and soon to be movie, Hunger Games. Since the movie will be released on March 23rd the Hunger Games Polish will also be released in March. The line of polish is inspired by the capitol of the nation of Panem and the colors in the collection are absolutely gorgeous!

What do you guys think of the collection and which colors are your favorite!  I'm excited for Electrify, Harvest Moon and Luxe and Lush!!

How to: Apply/Remove/Store false lashes!

Hey Beauties! So I seem to always get compliments on my eye lashes and everyone always asks me what mascara I use so that they can go out and by it and have long lashes too! So I decided I would share my SECRET with you all. Shhh... don't tell any one about this super d-duper amazing trick. It's top secret and is only for my followers!!  Okay here it is: It's not the mascara I use that gives me the affect of having long lashes, it's false lashes!


I started wearing false lashes about two years ago when my cousin came to me with the idea. And once I put the first pair of false lashes on, I was hooked. Now I wear them every day to school to help my eyes pop and stand out more and it really does work! And don't get me wrong, I love my real eye lashes, though they are more like tiny stubs than they are lashes, but anyways I'm just saying that if your looking for a way to make your eyes stand out, than some natural false eye lashes would be the way to go. It's like anything else we apply to our faces. Mascara. Eye Liner, Foundation, Blush...etc It's another way to enhance our looks! Plus crazy false lashes are fun to play with when trying out different make-up looks! So over the two years I've been wearing false lashes I've accumulated a lot of tips and tricks to applying, removing and storing lashes and now I'm sharing it with you! I hope this helps!

How to: Make your eye liner last all day!

Hey Beauties! Today I thought I'd share this quick tip with you all! I hope it helps! 


Have you ever found your eye liner disappearing/ wiping off of your water line through out the day? Here are some quick and simple steps on how to make your liner last!


What you'll need: 
Cue tips
Pencil, liquid or gel eye liner in carbon black
Mat black eye shadow in carbon black
Angled eye liner brush

How to:
1.) Wipe the cue tip across your water liner to get rid of moisture.
2.) Apply your eye liner like usual to your water line
3.) Dip the angled eye liner brush into the black eye shadow and gently pat it across your water line over your eye liner.

Maxi Skirts-  Get ready for the long skirts! Not only are they cute, but they look slimming on any body type!

Blazers- I wear my blazers with a scarf to add to the outfit and to give it a more girly touch! 

Sweater Dresses-  I love wearing sweater dresses! They're so girly and cute!

 Leather & Leggings-  I love leggings and wearing leather leggings adds an edgy touch to any outfit!

Fall Beauty Trends (2011)

I love the fall time! The classic red lip! Over sized sweaters! Warm colors! And I've been even more excited for some new and fun trends! Here are all of the fall beauty trends I've spotted on the run ways and seen worn by stars!


 Spider Lashes-  layering mascara so that the eye lashes stick together and looked clumped (You either love it or hate! I personally love it! What do you guys think?)

How to get spider lashes: 
1.) Get a volumizing mascara that easily clumps. (Two that are great to use if you're trying to get the spider lash effect is Loreal Original Voluminous and Max Factor False Lash Effect)
2.) Curl your lashes and apply one coat of mascara like you usually would.
3.) Apply a second coat of mascara and this time lightly pat mascara onto your lashes to help get a clumped affect. (Do this until your lashes begin to look spidery and don't brush through your lashes)
4.) For an even more spidery affect, continue to pat the mascara onto your lashes!


 Perfect Flawless skin- giving your skin an airbrushed flawless perfect look 

                                                                                                     

How to get flawless skin:


1.) Drink more water and less coffee and soda! Keep your skin hydrated and it will naturally feel and look better. (Also, eat more veggies and fruits and get your beauty sleep!!)
2.) Always use a primer on your face before applying make-up.
3.) Next to get rid of the dark circles under your eyes use a concealer. Also, apply the concealer to any redness or blemishes. (My favorite is the Mac select cover up concealer!) 
4.) Use a Foudation that can give you full coverage but feels light on your face and doesn't look and feel cakey. (I recommend the Revlon color stay foundation.)
5.) Apply the foundation with a stippling brush to give your face an airbrushed affect!


 Vampy Lips- Having very bold colored lips, which could range from orange to a deep berry red.

* I love the Revlon Lip stains and the one in Crave definitely gives my lips a vampy look!!

 Nude Make-Up- The affect of wearing no make-up with make-up to give your face a natural and fresh look.

*It's to let your natural beauty shine through ad is one of my favorite trends that seems to be never out of style!

 Various Colored Smokey Eyes- Of coarse the smokey eye is in, but this year it is here with a twist! Many models on the run way were wearing shades of purples, blues and browns for their smokey eye!

Nicki Minaj + OPI 2012!

Hey beauties! So today I am excited to be showing you all a sneak peak of OPI's new nail polish collection that will be coming out next year. Can you guess what it is? Yes, it is non other than Nicki Minaj by OPI! I love Nicki Minaj's music and have become a big fan of her, so when I heard that she had teamed up with OPI, I nearly fell out of my chair I was so excited! The collection features six polishes named after hit songs from her Pink Friday album! And all of the colors are very colorful, crazy, bright and fun just like her!

Happy Halloween + Black Swan Inspired Make-up & Costume!

Hey Beauties! I hope everyone had a happy Halloween and got a lot of yummy candy!! This Halloween I  decided to dress up like the Black Swan with the make-up and everything to scare the little kids so I could keep all of my candy to myself and not hand any of it out...just kidding! but I seriously did scare one little girl. Right when I opened the door and she looked up at me she got a frightened look on her face and once I gave her some candy she ran as fast as she could off my porch. Poor thing! I also got a lot of compliments on my make-up and costume and every time I opened the door there was someone freaking out about how realistic my make-up looked! So Halloween was a success! Score one for the beauty guru! :)

Fall Nail Polish Trends (2011)

Hey beauties! Since Fall is officially here I thought it would be fun to do a post about fall nail polish! I've been loving nail polish lately and it's definitely become one of my new obsessions! I even feel naked when I don't have it on my nails. I didn't always feel that way though. It's funny for me to think that just a few months ago I hated nail polish and wouldn't be caught dead with it on my nails! Anyways, here are the fall trends: For this Fall season, give your bright Summery nail polish colors a rest, stay cool and break out the mauve/purples, earthy/military greens, grays, browns/taupe/nudes, wine/rusty reds, and metallic/navy blues! And anything metallic or shimmery!

*Based on the trends, here are my top fall nail polish picks:

1.) Mauve/Purple: 

Dusky Mauve by BarryM is perfect for fall! It's a shimmery purple color with brown grayish undertones.

CG in the City by China Glaze contains lavender, copper, black and silver glitter on a clear base and is great for layering and looks pretty over any purple color!

 Toff by Butter London is a purple color with dustier brown and rosy pink undertones and is the perfect color to wear to a classy event!

Eve-y on the Eyes by Sephora OPI is a darker purple with a magenta shimmer and is absolutely gorgeous!

2.) Earthy/Military Greens:

Wallis by Butter London is an olive gold shimmery color and is very dark and rich with a green undertone.

West Side Warrior by China Glaze is a camouflage green creme color with an olive undertone and has been all over the run way this fall!

Rags to Riches by Rimmel is a military-esque green with champagne colored shimmer and a gray under tone and a definite must have for Fall!  

Billionaire by Deborah Lippmann is rich, edgy and totally chic! It isn't that sickly green color that many greens often  appear to be, but a totally hip and fashion forward color that totally fits in with the military theme that Fall is having this year.

Peridot by Chanel is a murky greenish gold color with indigo and teal accents. I've never seen anything like this before, it's very unique! If you haven't tried it out already, I would! It's a little pricey, but you won't regret it!

3.) Grays:

Power Clutch by Essie is a rich dark grey color with a hint of green. It's very sophisticated and would be perfect to wear to work or with a weekend outfit.

Graphite by Chanel is a beautiful gun metal gray metallic color with a little bit of shimmer. It's a limited edition polish so pick it up now before it's all gone!

Suzi Takes the Wheel  by OPI is a cool  light gray creme color with a brown undertone. And looks amazing on all skin tones! :)

Faded Putty by Nubar is a off white color with a grey undertone. It's a beautiful color and I just love it's name! And the best part?! It made my skin look tan!

4.) Browns/Taupe/Nudes:

Street Chic by China Glaze is a dark brown mocha creme color with a purple undertone. I absolutely love brown nail polishes, especially during the fall time! They are so elegant and they go with any outfit!

Classic Camel by China Glaze is a light tan/nude creme color with a beautiful golden shimmer. It's one of my must have fall nail polishes and is a very unique color!

Glamour Purse by Essie is a muddy taupe creme color! It's a very cool color and is a great day color!

5.) Wine/Rusty Reds:

A Color to Diner For by OPI is a bright red color with a little bit of pink and gold shimmer. It's elegant and perfect for a night out!

Brick House by Deborah Lippmann is an orange red metallic color and it's name fits it perfectly!

Brownstone by China Glaze is a rusty red creme color with a brown undertone. It's a perfect fall color and has a warm cozy feel to it!

6.) Metallic/Navy Blues: 

Blue Denim by Dior Vernis is an urban blue color. It's very intense and would go perfect with a bold look. It also looks really pretty on tan skin tones!

Night Flight by Nars is a deep cobalt blue with a purple-y blue shimmer. It's such a beautiful color and the shimmer is what makes this polish one of my faves! It reminds me of a starry night! :D

Blue-Topia by Color Club is a deep inky/ jelly blue color. What i love about this color is that it's very dark, but not too dark that it looks black! It's the perfect shade of blue for fall!

*These are just a few of my favorite nail polishes for this Fall! All the colors have a great consistency and are very unique, which is probably why I like them so much! What nail polishes are you guys loving for fall and what do you think of the ones I chose?
